Mother and Baby Yoga

Would you like to...

  • Tone your body, whilst bonding with your baby
  • Improve your baby’s physical and emotional development
  • Have fun with your baby?

Then Mother and baby Yoga may be for you.

Mother and baby yoga can help to enhance your relationship with your baby whilst having fun. It is also great for energising you after those long sleepless nights at the same time it will help to get you back into shape.

Mother and baby yoga combines gentle stretching and massaging movements for baby, and yoga exercises that you can do together leading to an enjoyable experience for the both of you!

Baby yoga can provide multisensory stimulation to each baby through a range of touch, handling and stroking movements. Research into baby yoga and touch has found it can help improve in all the body’s, from the respiratory, circulatory and digestive systems, to the nervous systems.

As with adult yoga, baby yoga has also been found to bring about contentment in babies and peaceful and deep sleep!

The workshops

During our Mother and baby yoga workshops you will be guided through basic baby massage and baby yoga. You will learn age appropriate movements from birth to walking.

You will be introduced to basic yoga postures that can help to strengthen and realign your body after the delivery of your child. We will show you how to easily combine yoga postures so that you can practice yoga with your baby.

All of the adult postures covered in the workshops can be easily modified to take into account fitness levels and restrictions post birth or otherwise.
